While playing CastleVille, you’ll be encountering lots of characters and participating in quests that they provide. CastleVille Quests are the fastest way to earn coins, level up and advance in the game. As a beginner, you’re quests will be very linear, meaning that you will usually do one at a time in a specific order. As you progress through the game, you’ll have lots of quest choices.
At the beginning of the game, the Duke will welcome you and give you your first quest. As you complete each quest, new ones will appear. Whenever you see a character in the game with a question mark over his or her head, that means a new quest is available. Click on that character to receive and start the new quest. When you accept a quest, it appears as an icon on the left side of your screen.
Beginning Quests
Raise the Roof
The first quest is to make a house for Yvette to keep him safe from the Beasties. There will be a list of things you will need to complete the quest if you find any of the lists confusing, select the question mark button beside and it will reveal clues.
To-do list: find a good location and place Yvette’s house, gather materials to build the house and build Yvette’s House to add her to your Kingdom.
Sticks and Stones
Once you find the right location for Yvette house, another quest will appear. This is coordinated with the first quest, since the first quest requires materials to build the house which are sticks and stones. You can find stick by chopping the trees and the stones by mining the rocks. You can mine each rock and chop each tree a couple of times.
Once you finish these quests, you’ll get to name your Kingdom. You’ll also get experience points and coins when completing quests.
Penny Pinching
You can earn coins to build your Castle by collecting taxes from Yvette’s house. It’s for a good cause, so she won’t mind. You just need to click Yvette’s house to collect taxes. Collecting taxes from every house you can build your castle and push back the Gloom. The Gloom is the area in around that are shaded in dark, this is under the exploration of CastleVille.
You will find clues to guide you while talking with characters, for example: when you collect Yvette the first time, she’ll say. “Taxes will get you Coins, but you wouldn’t believe the red tape! You can also get coins raising adorable animals.” So raise animals and don’t forget to collect taxes to get coins. You can collect Yvette’s house every 30 minutes.
Get Plucky
A Kingdom can never have too many cute chicks! Keep them happy and fed and you’ll earn lots of coins. Talk to the Animals. Buy 4 Chickens from the Market. You can find chicken at the Nature Tab, place them nearby the house of Yvette, since Yvette really likes animals, then click each chicken to feed them. Chickens are hungry every 10 minutes, so make sure you feed them or Yvette will get lonely.
Helping Duke
He’ll ask for help because beasties have come to his kingdom, by helping your neighbor you’ll get reputation. You can use reputation to buy some consumable items on the market. You only have 5 energies per day every time you visit your neighbors. This only means that you can get 5 reputations each time you visit and help your friend, the more friends you have the higher you can get reputation. You also get experience and coins in helping them. Click on the Home button to get back to your kingdom.
Items are being unlocked every time you level up.
No Bull
Buy 2 Cows, Feed 2 Cows and Buy 1 large Trough. Spend Reputation Hearts to buy 1 Large Trough for your thirsty animals. The Large Trough is on the Décor’s tab of the Market. Don’t forget to feed these cows every 30 minutes.
From Gloom to Bloom
Down with Gloom, up with bloom! You need to place 5 flowers, feed 3 animals and clear 2 rocks.
Cropping Up
Plant 3 Grapes on the farm plots and harvest 3 grapes. Click on the farm plot on your kingdom and it will ask what plants you would like to put it. Select the grape and plant them to the plot.
